America's Got Talent semifinalist Kabir Singh dies at the age of 39

Surabaya, AAD Today - Kabir Singh, the comedian who made it to the semifinals of America's Got Talent in 2021, has passed away, his fiancée confirmed to People. He was 39 years old.

Additionally, TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, reported that Singh had been dealing with health issues and authorities believe that he currently died of natural causes, but a toxicology report was conducted to help determine the exact cause of death. According to the media outlet, he was in San Francisco at the time of his death.

A friend of the comedian, Jeremy Curry, shared the news of Singh's passing on social media, saying that he was very sorry to have to share that Singh had passed away in his sleep.

"This is the most devastating post I've ever uploaded," Curry continued, noting that the funeral service will be held in Hayward, California, on December 14. "Please keep his family and fiancée in your thoughts and prayers .... I Love you bro."

Curry included a photo of him and Singh, in which his friend holds up a peace sign while smiling at the camera.

In addition to his appearance on America's Got Talent season 16-which was ultimately won by magician Dustin Tavella-Singh has also appeared on Comedy Central, Family Guy, and BBC News.

The comedian's last Instagram post, from a month earlier, advertised some of his recent comedy gigs at Deaf Puppy Comedy Club in Manteca, California.

On November 2, the club wrote of Singh, "Last night's show was so much fun! Non-stop laughter from these guys. Kabir really brought the house down."

Following the news of his death, the comedy club shared a touching message to its social media accounts.

"Rest in peace to one of the best," wrote Deaf Puppy Comedy Club alongside a photo of Singh. "He absolutely destroyed every time he performed at Manteca. You elevated the world of 209 comedy when there was none, and will always be our Champion."

The post continued, "What an amazing comedian and human being. You will be missed Kabir. Love you, man."
