The Grammy winner shared that her announcement expected on Jan. 14 has been delayed in the wake of the wildfires that have affected multiple areas of Southern California.
?The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles,? she said in a statement shared to her Instagram. "I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community."
Alongside her post, the "Formation" singer also detailed the efforts her foundation has put forth, noting the organization's previous donation and ways fans can help those in need.
"BeyGOOD LA Fire Relief Fund has donated $2.5 million to directly support families who lost their homes," her caption added, "and community organizations at the forefront of relief."
Beyonc?'s latest statement comes on the heels of her foundation announcing their support for relief efforts in the city.
?The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes," the company?s message on Instagram Jan. 12 noted, "and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.?
The wildfires have also affected her loved ones directly, as Beyonc?'s mom Tina Knowles recently shared that she lost her Malibu bungalow.
"This is what I was looking at on my birthday this past weekend from my tiny little bungalow on the water in Malibu!" Tina wrote alongside a video of dolphins in the water shared to Instagram. "It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred Happy Place. Now it is gone."
She added, "I am praying diligently for our beautiful City of Los Angeles!! We are resilient though and we will recover! 'This too shall pass.'?
