Surabaya, AAD Today - Miftah Maulana or often called Gus Miftah is still reaping public controversy after a video of him making fun of an iced tea seller drew blasphemy.

In the midst of this news, many netizens gave testimony about Miftah Maulana's unpleasant behavior. One of them, a comment from the TikTok account @koalamigrasi, said that Miftah Maulana mocked one of the preachers in his area.

"When Miftah was invited to my area, he lightly mocked a respected ustaz in my area. When he was mocked by Miftah, he was just silent," said the account.

Confession of Restaurant Owner in Istanbul

In addition, another netizen's testimony emerged who said he was not happy with the behavior of Miftah Maulana's entourage while in Istanbul, Turkey. The netizen admitted that he owns an Indonesian restaurant in the Istanbul area.

"The GM once came to my restaurant in Istanbul with his wife and crew. Ask to be served special and ask for a discount. That's how arrogant and chatty he was. What makes us all nervous, he always says words that demean other people," said the restaurant owner.

The restaurant owner, who did not like Miftah's behavior, finally chose to evict him on the grounds that there were guests who had made reservations first.

"Firmly, I invited him to leave the restaurant immediately on the grounds that there would be other guests who came with reservations. Alhamdulillah, he left with a long grumble," he concluded.

Clarification and Recent Developments

Although these comments have been widely discussed in the public, there is no strong evidence that explains the truth of this matter. Meanwhile, Gus Miftah himself has chosen to resign from the Presidential Special Envoy for Religious Harmony and Development of Religious Facilities on Friday (6/12).
